To say that Mona Kawai is cute would be an understatement; she is breathtaking in every single way, and she knows it. As his hunger for human flesh escalates and he struggles to fulfill it by conventional means, he befriends some friendly ghouls who run a coffee shop and help him adjust to his new life. However, his newfound peace is short-lived as Kaneki gets caught in the middle of a war between his friends and the CCG's forces, whilst ghouls from all over Tokyo show interest in him.
