Haunted Junction

The focus of Haunted Junction is Saitou High School, where both students and spirits coexist. The Student Council, made up of three members: Haruto Houjou, a diligent student brought up by a Christian pastor; Kazumi Ryuudou, a young man with an obsession for girls brought up by a Buddhist monk, and Mutsuki Asahina, daughter of a Shinto priest with a liking for young boys, ensures the smooth running of the school for everyone. Although some spirits dwelling the school premises are amiable, others are not. To eliminate malevolent spirits and perilous demons, the Council enlists seven distinctive spirits within the school that Haruto holds seven unique badges for, with each spirit based on common myths and ghost stories in Japanese schools.

Jisatsu Circle

A disturbing manga inspired by an even more disturbing movie of the same name (aka Suicide Club). As you might expect, they both deal with the theme of suicide. However, the plots of the manga and movie are significantly different, so don't wory about spoilers and such. Finally, I'd just like to point out that the manga isn't for the faint of heart, and the movie even more so.

Youkai Hunter - Yami No Kyakujin

Hieda-sensei is a professor of archeology, with a fervent belief in the existence and power of supernatural creatures like gods and demons. Since he can't prove anything, his belief has earned him the mocking nickname "Youkai Hunter" from his colleagues. One day, two men from Ootori-chou come to visit him. They're planning to promote tourism by reviving their town's old, traditional "Demon Festival," which has been discontinued for the past century. They're basing the festival on Hieda's research, although they're changing a few details to make it flashier for modern sightseers. Although Hieda is troubled by the history of human death associated with the festival, he agrees to attend as an advisor. When the Demon Festival turns out to be much more 'historically accurate' than anyone ever dreamed, it will take all of Hieda's knowledge and courage to help set things right!

Lycanthrope Leo

If people who turn into animals really existed in the modern world, how would they behave? This book gives some realistic, yet unexpected, answers. Nobody is a complete good guy or bad guy--every character is a complex figure, and even the bad guys have some very good reasons for what they do. Leo is an innocent caught in the midst of it all, but nothing like the "helpless killer" stereotype of American werewolf movies--he is a person in control of his own powers, trying to decide what to do with his life now that so much has changed.

Kanon’s father is often away on business trips and might be getting a little too friendly with his pretty young female subordinate; which Kanon doesn’t approve of so soon after her mother’s death. Her little brother collects insects, but they’re dying off. It turns out that these deaths are the first of many a plague to come down. First it’s the insects, inexplicably dropping dead everywhere. Then it’s the rats, looking for a new food source. And things just keep getting worse…
