In Tokyo recognized as Shinto Teito in the year 2020, 19-year old Minato Sahashi is very intelligent, yet because of his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance test twice. Minato meets a girl named Musubi, who actually falls in the heavens one day. Minato soon learns that she's a "Sekirei" who picked him as her "Ashikabi", among the cryptic group of individuals that possess the inherited characteristic who is able to create a deal - by kissing - with the Sekirei. This enables them to use their total power in removal conflicts with other Sekirei and binds the Sekirei to him. Made up of 108 adorable girls, buxom women, and bish?nen, the Sekirei battle in a contest called the "Sekirei Plan" formed by Hiroto Minaka, the chairperson and founder of the mysterious and powerful MBI Corporation. Minato soon learns that being the spouse of a woman isn't all fun and games, particularly when he is chosen by several other Sekirei each additionally forming a deal with him, as their Ashikabi. Now, Minato should discover a method to survive the life threatening conflicts of the Sekirei Plan and his companions' intense competition for him. Sekirei are super-powered beings using another code just like a person's. The Sekirei space-ship crashed on Earth in 1999 on Kamikura Island , and was discovered by two pupils, Hiroto Minaka (potential MBI chairman) and Takami Sahashi (potential MBI head researcher and Minato's mom). A group of very different people wake up together in the sealed environment of an abandoned school building.
