"Shiawase na Jikan" sequel includes two stories. The first continues two years after the first book, where Shizuku is preparing for her entrance exams. The second story, "The Blooming of the Balloon Flowers" or "Kikyou no Saku Koko" is an original and unrelated story. It follows Tsuge Takayuki, a regular college boy who sees a girl admiring the flowers in his front yard. She reminds him of a girl who was crying in the rain by the same flowers a year ago. Tsuge falls in love with her, but wonders if her injured heart can accept his feelings.
