Set ten years after the events of Gundam F91, the tale revolves around Seabook Arno and Cecily Fairchild who uncover Crux Dogatie's scheme to invade Earth with the Jupiter Empire. While many Gundam aficionados were left underwhelmed by Gundam F91, Crossbone Gundam is lauded as one of Gundam's best due to its appealing characters, astute narration, and one-of-a-kind "pirate Gundam" designs. One cannot help but ponder how Gundam F91 would have fared had the original plan of a 52-episode TV series been fulfilled instead of compressing it into a two-hour movie.
